Privacy Policy

SYRAL is a private chat space for couples, with an optional AI assistant. Privacy isn't a compliance section for us — it's the product. This page says plainly what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

What we collect

• Account info — your email address and name, to create and secure your account (including Sign in with Apple, if you use it).
• Your content — messages, private-room conversations, daily check-ins, and reflections you write in the app. Stored so the app works; visible only to you and, where you've shared it, your partner.
• Purchase status — whether you have an active subscription, processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
• Identifiers — an internal user ID that links the above to your account.

The AI only sees what you choose to share

SYRAL's assistant processes a message only when you explicitly share it — consent is per message and per feature, every AI feature can be muted independently, and one switch turns it all off. Shared content is processed by our AI infrastructure provider solely to generate the response you asked for; it is not used to train AI models.

What we never do

• No ads, and no selling or renting your data — to anyone, ever.
• No tracking across other apps or websites.
• No sharing your private messages with anyone but your partner (and only the ones you sent to your shared room).
• No scoring — SYRAL doesn't rate your relationship or build profiles about it.

Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small set of service providers, each only for its job: Convex (database and backend hosting), RevenueCat (subscription management), Resend (transactional email, e.g. password resets), and an AI inference provider for the assistant features described above. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Your rights and choices

• You can review and change what the AI can see at any time in Settings.
• You can request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account and all associated content, by emailing yassibello20@gmail.com. Deletion is permanent.
• Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID account settings.

Security & retention

Data is encrypted in transit and stored with our backend provider, which encrypts data at rest. We keep your data only while your account exists; deleting your account deletes your content.

Children

SYRAL is for adults in relationships and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
